The DV Immigrant Visa Lottery Program

In 1990 U.S. Congress enacted a Greencard Visa lottery which permits up to 55,000 applicants per year to enter United States are random selection bases provided they apply from a qualified countries and meet minimum educational, training, and financial integrity requirements. There are a few countries citizens are not permitted to apply.
